ABSTRACT

Describir hallazgos citológicos, colposcópicos, histopatológicos y reacción en cadena de polimerasa de pacientes con infección por virus papiloma humano. Estudio retrospectivo y descriptivo. 187 pacientes con infección por virus papiloma humano. Consulta de Ginecología del Hospital Universitario Dr. Ángel Larralde Resultados: La media de edad fue de 40,4±11,6 años. Hallazgo citológico predominante: lesión intraepitelial escamosa de bajo grado (51,7 por ciento). Estudio colposcópico reveló epitelio acetoblanco (28,3 por ciento) como atipia más frecuente. En biopsia de cuello uterino, 16,5 por ciento tuvieron algún grado de neoplasia intraepitelial cervical y 2,6 por ciento carcinoma epidermoide. Las mujeres con reacción en cadena de polimerasa positiva presentaron genotipos de virus papiloma humano de alto riesgo en 43,9 por ciento. Se debe enfatizar en la evaluación ginecológica anual, con por lo menos la citología cervicouterina, para así diagnosticar, tratar oportunamente y disminuir la prevalencia de lesiones por virus papiloma humano y cáncer de cuello uterino


To describe cytological, colposcopical, histopathological findings and polymerase chain reaction in patients with infection by human papilloma virus. Retrospective and descriptive study. Sample: 187 patients with infection by human papilloma virus. Out patient clinic of Gynecolog, Hospital Universitario Dr. Angel Larralde, Valencia, Edo. Carabobo. The average age was 40.4±11.6 years. Predominant cytological finding: low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (51.7 percent). The colposcopic study revealed that acetowhite epithelium (28.3 percent) was the more frequent atypia. In biopsy of uterine cervix, 16.5 percent had some degree of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and 2.6 percent squamous cell carcinoma. 43.9 percent of the women with positive polymerase chain reaction presented genotypes of high risk human papilloma virus. It is important to make emphasis in making an annual gynecological evaluation, with at least the endo-exocervical cytology, thus to search, to treat timely and to diminish the prevalence of injuries by human papilloma virus and uterine cervical neoplasm

ABSTRACT

O trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a ocorrência de tentativas e óbitos por suicídio, ocorrido no município de Independência, Ceará, Brasil, em 2005. Realizou-se um estudo de casos incluindo as tentativas e óbitos por suicídios e constituíram fonte de coleta de dados o Sistema de Informação de Mortalidade (SIM) e o Sistema de Internação Hospitalar (SIH), referentes ao ano 2005, além de pesquisa documental em prontuários do hospital municipal. Dos seis óbitos registrados, dois ocorreram no grupo etário de 10 a 19 anos, três no de 20 a 29 e um no de 30 a 59 anos. Metade das vítimas que se suicidaram era do sexo masculino e o enforcamento foi o método predominante. Quanto às tentativas, a maioria concentrou-se na faixa de 10 a 19 anos e predominou o sexo feminino (sete casos). Os principais sinais e sintomas apresentados pelas vítimas, antes da prática da tentativa de suicídio, foram: tristeza, insônia, anorexia, "nervosismo", vontade de chorar e agressividade, e entre quatro pessoas que tentaram suicídio havia algum tipo de relacionamento afetivo com outra pessoa que se suicidou. Conclui-se que os eventos registrados no município de Independência devem ser analisados como um fato social, salientando o pequeno intervalo de tempo entre os óbitos e tentativas e a existência de vínculos relacionais entre as vítimas.


The objective of this work was to analyze the occurrence of suicidal attempts and deaths that happened in the district of Independência, Ceará State, Brazil, in 2005. A case study was carried out, including attempts and deaths by suicide. A data gathering source was composed out of the SIS (Mortality Information System) and of the SIH (Hospital Admittance System), regarding the year 2005, besides documentary research on district hospital records. Out of six recorded obits, two happened in the age group of 10 to 19, three from 20 to 29, and one from 30 to 59. One half of the suicide victims were male, and the prevailing method was hanging. Considering the attempts, most of them concentrated in the age group of 10 to 19, prevailing females (seven cases). The main signs and symptoms presented by victims, before exerting suicidal attempt were: sadness, loss of sleep, anorexia, nervousness, will to cry, and aggressiveness; there also was some kind of affective relationship among those persons. It was concluded that the events recorded in the district of Independência must be analyzed as a social fact, highlighting the small time interval between the deaths and attempts and, the existence of relational links among the victims.
